The difference between you and the "successful" person you wish you were is the practice of saying no.
Say no to things you don't want to do.
Say no to people you don't want to see.
Say no to places you don't want to be.
You say yes when you want to say no because you think you have to.
Because you don't want to be selfish or unlikeable.
Because you think your needs matter the least.
All of those thoughts are lies. Those thoughts are the products of social conditioning.
Saying no doesn't mean you've become an evil person who will forsake the world.
Saying no just means you're setting a boundary in this moment.
Saying no means you've built a new wall for your home so you can have shelter.
Saying no is a decision that will steer you toward the life you want.
Saying no carves out your dream life.
Say yes to what you love and say no to everything else.
It's been a while since I've made a longer post. I hope everyone is finding value in my shorter posts. I like both, but I'm very happy to write more today.
I had a less than excellent day but it ended with a silver lining.
No matter what is happening, find the silver lining, it's always there.
