I just wanted to give a gentle reminder that exercise is just as vital for your mind as it is for your body.
I am guilty of consistently forgetting this. Don't be like me.
Every time I take a walk at the end of the day I feel lighter, happier and like I can breathe again. Every time I do yoga after a mentally noisy week I feel my brain untangle. The relief is visceral and instant and I need to write this reminder on my mirror. I'm a physical person and I prefer exercise over meditation. It's safe to say I use movement as my meditation.
If you don't exercise for any other reason, do it for your mind. You can choose any form of physical activity that works for you. Walking and stretching are my favorite but if you prefer something more intense that's great too. Our bodies are meant to move and we reap every kind of benefit when we twirl around a little.
Lots of love,
Ara <3
